Your stay in Nosy Be: the large Island

Its name means "Large island". This island is the most extensive of malagasy coasts, with 315 Km2 (30 Km long for 19 Km wide). It is also called the perfume island, on account of Ylang Ylang production, flower of wich the essence for perfumes is extracted.

At one hour by plane from the capital Antananarivo and 15 Kilometers away from the North-West coast of Madagascar, the island of Nosy Be is a wonder of nature located in the Indian Ocean, in the Mozambic channel. It is surrounded with several small islands.

Mount Passot, with an altitude of 315 meters, is the highest point of the island, offering an incomparable panoramic view.

Very beautiful sea with strings of coral high seabeds, barrier against industrial fishing with net. Seafalls are lived-in and visited by all the ocean fishes.

Ambatoloaka (pronounce Ambatoolook), takes place 15 Km away towards the north of Hellville (here in aerial view). This is the nearest village to the club: just a few minutes walk, whether by the road, or whether by the beach.

Many heavenly islets may be visited by fishermen or simply by turists. Nosy Komba, beyond doubt, it's worth the trip, with its remarkable beaches, its lemurs, its talented embroiderers, its moutain reaching more than 600 meters where a small torrent is running from.
